First Entry...

Despite my general reluctance to start a LJ I've caved because of not being to post on people's LJs without being registered and the like. I'm also tired of having to put my name when I do post.

To say about what's going on with me... I live on my computer up here in Gainsville. I've started posting like never before in forums I usually only read, joining new ones, reading sites daily that I uaed to check only weekly, I've downloaded around 50 CDs of stuff up here (be aware downloading on the network is frowned upon here at UF), I just started a LJ, etc...

Summer B is almost over so I'll have to get used to using plain old DSL again for a few weeks when I get back. I miss my friends being right there to talk to and oddly I miss having my animals following me around the most.

So how's that for a first post? I'm going to do an expiriment too. I'm not going to put Julie as a friend and see how long it takes for her to find out that I got a LJ...

PORTER!! I am in shock and awe that you would start one of dese tings(bahamian accent). But I can say that I'll be looking forward to reading your side of the story to things. They are always true, painfully true that is. Which makes it awesome.

No problem. I don't aim to enlighten either. I like to think of what I'm going to put in my LJ as food for thought. As Chris so pointed out, I like putting my own special brand of Porter's harsh and brutal truth of reality out there. Hopefully I'll be struck by a stroke of genius and post something interesting in the next week or so. :)

And ruin all the fun by giving it to you before hand. ;) I think it's safe to say we agree with each other on most issues.

Also, I hope I never put a whiny and depressed post. You have the whiny part all covered (see my comments on your LJ for my opinion there). The depressed part I think Julie has covered pretty good. I think mostly it will be nerdy old Porter with his unique brand of "insight".
